I have a small guest room that I painted entirely with Pure White. The room has an eastern exposure and I love how it looks throughout the day. Lighting warmth has an effect on how the room feels. The ceiling light is daylight, while the side lamp for evening is warmer. Overall, Pure White can expand a small room and then take it into evening as a cozy, warm space. It’s my favorite white. ❤

because of your channel, I decided to paint our east facing front door this summer Ben Moore After Midnight, which is a black navy. our house is a medium gray color, with charcoal trim. it is so pretty in the brighter morning light and afternoon light it looks like a rich definitely more black. I love it, Thank you for making color decisions easier and your content and excitement for color has made me braver.

Oh Kylie, how did you know? Lol. Most of my rooms are Edgecomb gray with Cloud White trim. Just yesterday I decided to paint a few accent pieces in living room to add a pop of color as my furniture and carpet are in the same range as Edgewood. I was close to a S.W. Store so I popped in and thought….hey, this color looks ok ( it was Contented). Well no surprise to you I’m sure, but after letting it dry and lugging it back into the living room….😢😢😢. On a whim I typed in your name and saw you had actual colors to coordinate with my beloved Edgewood. So I’m off early this morning with list in hand to grab a few samples of the recommendations in the gray green category. I’ve followed so much of your advice over the last few years and have never been disappointed. Thank you for you keen eye and expertise!

Thank you very much for your videos. I've learned a lot watching them. I am a painter inside of a hospital so I don't have to worry too often about color matching but it is always good to know about the LRVs and the undertones of different colors. I think you did a video or maybe it was your website, but i know i got the idea of Gentle Cream from you! lol I love this color so much!! We painted most of our 1st floor with it, as well as our hallway upstairs and our master bedroom. Our home faces North and Gentle Cream brings SO much warmth to the inside of our home. Tysm!

Good vid, Kylie! 2 additional things you taught me during my project with white paint: 1 paint your ceiling the exact same color (dont use generic white ceiling paint) and 2 use the same color white but higher sheen for the trim! BTW still waiting your review and use cases of my fave...SW Ice Cube! :)

Doing Edgecomb Gray perimeter cabinets with white oak island. Didn't want stark white cabinets. Love the balance of Edgecomb gray, not too creamy, not too grey, somewhere in between.

Would you think white duck cabinets would work with a wood kitchen island? Thanks!

We are doing a traditional farmhouse remodel and we are planning on BM white dove for the kitchen cabinets. We will be having a Ilve range in midnight blue. I'm wanting to do a color that goes well with the stove on the island in a medium blue. We need some help with a wall color that goes with the BM White Dove. Wanting to do a Carrara marble on the island. We have a large south window and a couple of small east windows on each side of the range. The floor is a brazilian teak in cherry wood. All doors are cherrywood and tall base board.

What color cream cabinets in the kitchen would go with the wall color, Sherwin Williams loggia?

I have done the colour drenching with agreeable gray a couple of times looks great, especially on the ceiling,easy to cut in,but it’s hard to pull off on the doors, especially if the backside of the door is a different colour, if you know what I mean, where do you stop or start?

Yes on all of those. I’ve got a Retreat swatch on my wall now. Also Rainy Afternoon, Caldwell Green, and Succulent. But, none are what I’m looking for which is a dark gray-teal (more gray and soft than Cascades or Salamander) but I cannot find it.

'Color' is a loose term here. A lot of the same variations of 'dinge-y' as the past several years. People are sating grays are out, but wothin the diest 14 colors there are the same old grays as 8 years ago. Gray tones that are a neutral and calming will still probably be around in another 10 years in the average house. I don't mean this as sarcasm or anything untoward. It's just the same set of colors with very few new ones or differences.

I'm always thinking of a year or 2 down the road. Purples are coming! Violets, Aubergines and Lavenders. I also see creamy yellows and off blacks.

I really like your videos. They help me to know where to start and what to think about so I can make the best choice and have minimal regrets when the job is done. Complementing tones make be feel good. 👍

BM Gentle Cream appears to be the most flexible with other finishes. I love it and SW Creamy.

My kitchen has white cabinets and am doing acadia butcher block counters. White subway tile . The floor is coreluxe vinal planking that has like a off white beige with light grayish / beige ( blond ) variations.Not sure if alpaca walls would work? Have white trim. Son installed small recessed ceiling lights. Any ideas ? Subscribed ❤

Hello Kylie, Thank You again for offering your knowledge and helping us all pick out paint colors. I picked Pale Oak for my 'mini' bathroom remodel and SO glad I did. I have saltillo tile floors and put in a wainscot of marble tile (a less expensive way of getting beautiful tile in your bathroom) I picked a cream marble with some gray and taupe veining. Pale Oak really pulled the look together. I just love it !

Your videos are informative and enjoyable. Perhaps I might have missed it, I can't find any on BM's Monterey White. Do you have one? If not, would you consider doing one? I am interested in it use as an exterior wall paint.

Real hardwood, select grade maple, natural finish is my choice.

Kylie, I love this color. My current home is painted with Kilm Beige and Adobe Straw (except for 2 bathrooms). I'd like to go cooler in our next home. The new home we're buying has 6 different colors of flooring eeekkkkk. The foyer and hall are hardwood in a cherry tone. The kitchen and baths are golden tan tile, and carpets are very light beige, dark blue, dark gray, and golden tan. Help!!!! Would this color work?

For my new build I'm going natural walnut floors( woodura Engineered hardwood) for all but the kitchen and Primary Bath. My kitchen cabinets are walnut lowers and maple uppers. I'm hoping to live there at least 20 years so just for me.

ok so how do folks handle a home that one part of the home (the North facing due to high ceilings and windows) and a south facing that is dark due to a porch color....so do you paint the rooms w/ colors that are in the same family but slightly lighter or darker on the scale (assuming I don't want dramatically different colors ) . This would be for all over interior of a 2 story home

Apparently I'm not trendy. None of the colors I'm considering are on this list. 😅 Oh well. Trends fade anyway.
